Train, recover and reconnect in one of Australia’s most iconic endurance destinations, alongside a supportive crew and expert coaching.
Hosted by Emma Tucker with co-host Tim Bliss
Triathlete, Ironman World Championship Finisher and Community Host
This camp is designed as a flexible, choose-your-own-adventure style experience, giving athletes the chance to train, learn and connect in one of Australia’s most iconic endurance destinations. Based in Port Macquarie, the weekend offers a great opportunity to get familiar with the Ironman Australia and Port Macquarie 70.3 courses, including key swim, bike and run sections. The camp is intentionally inclusive, with sessions tailored so they work just as well for beginners who are new to triathlon as they do for athletes wanting to push themselves and sharpen their performance. Most sessions include multiple options, allowing participants to choose the distance, intensity and focus that suits them best. Alongside structured training, there’s a strong emphasis on learning, confidence building and enjoying the process. This is about quality training, shared experiences and leaving the weekend feeling more capable than when you arrived.

Day one is all about easing in, getting organised and setting the tone for the weekend. After arriving in Port Macquarie and settling in, we kick things off with a relaxed group running technique session focused on movement, efficiency and confidence. The afternoon then splits into optional pathways, with athletes choosing between individual running gait analysis or bike setup and system checks to make sure everything is dialled ahead of Saturday’s ride. We finish the day with a group dinner to connect, unwind and get ready for a big weekend.
Saturday is the main endurance day, centred around riding key sections of the Ironman course. Athletes will start together before choosing between shorter or longer ride options depending on experience and goals. After a relaxed group lunch, we’ll run a casual Q&A session covering training, racing, confidence and mindset. The afternoon again offers choice, with options including further gait analysis, downtime, or an optional recovery session at Restore Performance & Wellness Centre.
Sunday begins with a looped long run designed so everyone can move at their own pace and regroup easily. A social breakfast follows for those who want to join. The afternoon focuses on open water swimming and technique, using local conditions similar to race day. The final split session offers either individual stroke analysis or low-key social recovery, including light stretching, coastal hangs and time to connect.
The final morning focuses on technical bike handling skills, including cornering, gear selection and confidence building. A casual breakfast follows, giving everyone a chance to connect before wrapping up. The camp finishes with an introductory strength and conditioning session designed to give athletes practical tools they can take home. Departures take place late morning to early afternoon.

I’m bike obsessed. I’ve only been riding for a few years, but I’m all in. I have a Trek Speed Concept named Ken and a Trek Madone named Barbie, and I’ve recently started dabbling in crit racing. If you want to talk bikes, gear or racing, I’m always keen.
I’m Emma. I’m not a professional coach — I’m someone who completely transformed my life through endurance sport. A few years ago I weighed close to 180kg, and today I’m an Ironman World Championship qualifier. I’ve been in triathlon for just over two years, going from absolute beginner to racing at the highest level, and I know exactly what it feels like to start from zero. One of the things I struggled with early on was finding environments that felt welcoming and supportive if you weren’t already “good enough” to attend a camp. This trip is designed to change that. It’s a safe, inclusive space where beginners can feel comfortable, and more experienced athletes can still challenge themselves and push their limits. Everything is optional, flexible, and designed so you can choose how hard you want to go. I’ll be hosting the trip alongside my coach, Tim Bliss, who has been instrumental in my own journey. Tim is a sports scientist and accredited triathlon, run, and strength and conditioning coach. He brings deep technical expertise, but also a coaching style that is supportive, approachable, and focused on getting the best out of people at every level. Having Tim there means you get the best of both worlds, lived experience from someone who’s been through the journey, and expert coaching support to help you move forward with confidence.
My weight loss journey completely changed my relationship with movement and my belief in what I’m capable of. Triathlon gave me structure, confidence and purpose at a time when I needed it most. I went from being someone who couldn’t imagine running a kilometre to racing Ironman and qualifying for the World Championships. Along the way, I realised how powerful community and the right environment can be, especially for people starting out. That’s what inspired me to create experiences like this.
Port Macquarie holds a special place for me. I know what it’s like to be a first-timer at both the 70.3 and the full Ironman distance, and how overwhelming the unknowns can feel. Getting familiar with the course , especially climbs like Matthew Flinders Drive, made a huge difference to my confidence going into race day. This trip is a chance to take the stress out of that process, whether you’re racing here or not. It’s about learning the course, building confidence, and spending time with people who are on a similar journey. Port Macquarie is somewhere I genuinely love, it’s close to where I spend time on the coast, and I’m excited to share it in a way that feels fun, supportive, and welcoming for everyone.
